Calling Volume 1 an introduction is almost cruel to the story. Unlike many others, even ISP before it which began after an arc specifically written to get the story going, Red Moon Rising starts just after the events of To Serve and Obey. There’s no time to exhale–the book literally begins the moment the last one ended.
